In accordance with board complaint policies, in the event that a complaint involves a school leader, that individual will not be able to investigate the complaint due to a conflict of interest. Each school has to have an identified ombudsperson to investigate such complaints. The OUSD Charter office needs this information to provide it to students, staff, and family members that file complaints with our office as they always redirect complainants to the school. They also recommend that we include this information with the complaint procedure posted on our website and student/family handbooks.
