NWEA Data, Grow Data, CSO Reflections

MS Principal Updates:

  • NWEA data does not represent every student who took the test
    • Categorical pieces that are still being sorted to ensure all data is gained
  • 5th and 6th grade reading in initial testing is on the lower end
  • 7th and 8th grade reading also on lower end
    • 8th grade is higher
  • Math scores also show similar outlooks
    • 6th grade math tests slightly higher

Director of Academics Update:

  • Currently waiting on data from over 150 students between middle and high school
  • Corrections are being worked on to sync students through Power Schools
  • A lot of testing shows the lower end of our percentiles across all content areas

High School Principal Updates:

  • Goal is to have 70% of students meeting one more more year of growth by EOI
    • End of year metric, cannot be identified in Cycle 1

B.

Driver Goal Data and Reflections

MS Principal Updates:

  • Work needs to be done to meet driver goals for testing, too early to say if those goals can be met or not
  • ADA reports out good data, not quite 90%
    • Focus on connection and relationship building between students and teachers
    • Hope is that now we can incentivize to get higher numbers
  • Morale is at risk in middle school, felt chaotic and busy for staffing

Director of Academics Updates:

  • Goal is for 85% f teachers to grow the KCP (Kairos Career Pathway) before EOY
    • Currently at 0 because we do not have initial rating for BOY yet
  • Goal is 40% of CSI scholars to show two years growth in math and ELA on the NWEA
    • Currently do not have data to show this because we just conducted BOY testing

Director of Student Support Services Update:

  • Driver goal is to identify 100% of student in the following populations are up to date
    • Currently meeting this goal
  • 100% of students are appropriately assigned to SPED tiers
  • Formal training has not occured in this cycle for all staff
  • More staff is needed to thrive
  • 85% of IEPs for this cycle have reached completion

High School Principal Updates:

  • EOC data is off track
  • Goal is to have 85% of teacher and leaders recieve quality feedback biweekly
    • Currently at 45%
  • Goal is to have 90% of classrooms marked as proficient
    • This is off track at 0%
  • Goal is to follow an ADA escalation matrix with 90% fidelity each cycle, current cycle is at 33%
