Call the Meeting to Order
Kenya Morris called a meeting of the Academic & School Performance Committee Committee of The Main Street Academy to order on Monday Jul 10, 2023 at 7:03 PM.

Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes (6/12/23)
Nkiruka Onyia made a motion to approve the minutes from Monthly Academic & School Performance Committee Meeting on 06-12-23.
Chanel Recasner seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Academic & School Performance Committee - Unfinished Business
A.
Curriculum
Dr. Chaddrick Owes made a motion to Accept the recommendation of the prinicipal to approve $300,000 for textbooks and resources for the FY 2024 school year.
Kenya Morris seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

Principal's report included a breakdown of the 2022-2023 school based assessments related to i ready and GA milestones.

Teacher Representatives for the ASP committee
Teachers typically share as a liaison on what is occurring from a classroom standpoint. Ex-Officio faculty representative for the school board should also be a part of the board. Recommend having a teacher from each academy, upper and lower. We will come back to this discussion next month.

1Principal Revere discussed the proposed curriculum for the 2023-2024. (See attached powerpoint). One point to note is that IReady will no longer be used. It will be replaced with NWEA Map. This tool will better access the student progress.
How are we aligning with FCS transition in mathematics? We will have mathematics transition team lead by Mr. Adebisi to support the new mathematics standards.
Are we using the textbooks FCS recommended? Textbooks were not purchased, but we will align with what FCS recommends for curriculum. We also have SAAVAS textbooks available for middle grades for those that need books.
