Comprehensive Planning Committee Updates
There is technical issues with the online tool from PDE, but the committee is using a paper version of the tool.
Prioritizing the greatest needs of the school, creating an action plan, and communicating that plan to the school.
1st step was to review schools vision, mission, and value statements. Vida's values weren't articulated in the original, so they conducted a survey of students, staff, and community members.
Top three were empathy, respect, and teamwork
2nd step was to do a needs assessment. Looked at Future Reading Index
4 Priorities for 3 Year Plan
- By Spring 2022, 51% or more of all students in grades 3-5 will score proficient or advanced in
in Math PSSA
- Meet or exceed state-established proficient or advanced percentages for students who are ELs.
- Teachers will collect data for all students on benchmark 3 times a year. Then individual annual
goals will be set for each student to grow over the next three years, as evidenced by summative assessments.
- Administration will evaluate and monitor instructional staff on their implementation of professional learning through walk-through observations and student data.
