Ms. Flores will discuss how having a needs assessment helps our schools identify priorities for improving student learning and support services. The needs assessment gathers input to better understand areas where students may need additional academic or program support. The committee will review the importance of including feedback related to English Learner programs and services. Ms. Flores will lead a discussion of the needs assessment through an English Learner Parent Feedback Survey that we will begin to share with our English Learner families shortly. The importance of this discussion is not only to share responses among attendees but to also ensure that the survey itself is both discussed and agreed upon to share. / La Sra. Flores explicará cómo una evaluación de necesidades ayuda a nuestras escuelas a identificar prioridades para mejorar el aprendizaje estudiantil y los servicios de apoyo. Esta evaluación recopila información para comprender mejor las áreas en las que los estudiantes podrían necesitar apoyo académico o programático adicional. El comité revisará la importancia de incluir comentarios sobre los programas y servicios para estudiantes de inglés. La Sra. Flores dirigirá un debate sobre la evaluación de necesidades mediante una Encuesta de Opinión para Padres de Estudiantes de Inglés, que pronto compartiremos con las familias de estudiantes de inglés.
