After a brief discussion, action was taken to approve the minutes for February 17, 2026, for the Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of Learn4Life High School-Charleston.

Mr. Reyes shared on the financial information as of February 28, 2026, including the balance sheet, budget to actuals, and statements of revenue and expenditures.

Ms. Chase shared on the Business Relations and Outreach update which tied in with Dr. Brown’s events. She also thanked Grace Bautista and Dan Putrino for all their hard work.
Mr. VanKirk recognized Mr. Grace for contributions to community service and partnerships.
Mr. Holmes reminded the board to RSVP for the Learning Without Limits Conference by Friday, March 27.

Legislative Update
Ms. Peterson shared on Senate Bill S454 The Charter School Accountability Bill passed the Senate and the House. She also stated budget work continues in the legislature with the Senate expected to be more favorable to charter funding.

Dr. Brown shared her report including Community Engagement with a community baby shower and food giveaway, serving over 1,000 families, Black History Month event that featured a Charleston Jazz Academy performance, a mini HBCU college tour and military fair, and three students held bell ringing ceremonies.
Dr. Brown also shared on the Volvo Accelerator Program Update with three of five students who have begun the program and are performing well. She also shared on upcoming events and key dates including the 135th day of school is Tuesday and will be celebrated with a student “grill and chill” event.
Dr. Brown shared on School Report Card and Data Improvement. She also shared on enrollment and staffing with three open positions and one new hire.
Dr. Brown shared on current enrollment of 169, a decrease of 6 students from the previous month.
She also shared the 135-day funding count is on March 24 and re-enrollment support is ongoing and the application for next year's open enrollment launches soon.
