Update on Executive Search Committee

The Executive Search Committee has been meeting a lot and agreed upon asking Civitas to complete the final reference check in the Head of School search.

Civitas indicated that they would be unable to meet PVPA's requested deadline on two weeks. the Committee will meet with representatives to make a decision on how the process should be completed given the delay.

The Committee authorized funds to cover advertising costs for the Head of School position search.

Within the next two weeks, the Committee will review initial applications and narrow down the list of candidates to those who will be included in the interview process.

We need to offer the job to somebody by July 1st. The Committee will explore a number of options during the next meeting.

B.

Summer Retreat

III. Orientation of New Board Members

A.

Orientation Materials

Shino looked over the materials from the retreat last summer and compiled information to be used in the orientation of new Trustees.

The hope is to host a short meeting with all new members to brief them on some Board basics and ensure that everybody is on the same page. She will send out a SurveyMonkey to the new members, David, and Jake.

Providing new members with a list of committee descriptions could help Trustees choose committees that need additional members.

IV. Report of School Community Survey

A.

Survey Results

We received 140+ survey responses indicating what the community is prioritizing. This information will be shared at the next Head of School Search Committee meeting to be employed in the search and evaluation process.

March Meeting

The March meeting for the Governance Committee will take place on 3/16 at 7:15.
