I. Opening Items

A. Call the Meeting to Order

Claire Grissom called a meeting of the Academic Success Committee of Navigator Schools to order on Wednesday Nov 30, 2022 at 3:35 PM.

B. Record Attendance and Guests

C. Approve Minutes from Prior Meeting

JP Anderson made a motion to approve the minutes from Academic Success Committee on 10-12-22.

Chuck Daggs seconded the motion.

The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Academic Topics

A. SBAC Performance by Student Group

J. Dent provided an update on staffing at Hayward Collegiate, including the recruiting efforts of M. Alatorre Alnas. Members asked questions about staffing. J. Dent shared SBAC student group data. The committee discussed learning recovery pathways and timelines.

B. Intervention Update

J. Dent shared detailed intervention schedules for all schools. Members asked clarifying questions regarding intervention types, tracking, and cycles.

C. Model Providing Update

C. Toriumi provided a comprehensive summary of recent RTAC (Regional Technical Assistance and Coaching) sub-grant workshop topics, attendees, composition of attendees (district and charter), and attendee feedback. She shared the next workshop date and topic J. Dent reviewed progress of the second RTAC component, the Critical Friends Group. He explained its cycle and chronology of meetings and outlined meeting topics. J. Dent provided an update on Project Spark, a potential grant from Charter School Growth Fund, and its benefits to Navigator Schools. Members asked clarifying questions and praised the quality and content of the presentation.

III. Closing Items

A. Confirm Next Meeting

The next meeting of the committee will take place on January 25, 2023, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

B. Adjourn Meeting

JP Anderson made a motion to adjourn.

Claire Grissom seconded the motion.

The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
