Statement Regarding the June 11 Special Board Meeting
The Navigator Schools Board of Directors has scheduled a Special Board Meeting on June 11, 2026.
This meeting is focused on urgent board business that requires the board to convene in closed session. We recognize that the timing conflicts with the GPS 8th grade graduation ceremony and understand this creates a real barrier for teachers, staff, and families celebrating that milestone. We are sorry for the conflict and want to be clear that this timing was driven by the urgency of the matters before the board, not any intent to limit community participation.
The meeting will include 15 minutes of public comment for community members who are able to attend.
We also want to make sure our community is aware that our regular Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 15, 2026 at 6:00 PM. That meeting will include a full public agenda, robust public comment time, and substantive discussion of important matters including the proposed 2026-27 budget. We encourage all interested community members to plan to attend.
