Caitrin Wright called a meeting of the Academic Success Committee of Navigator Schools to order on Wednesday Sep 2, 2020 at 3:35 PM.

NS Model Dissemination
C. Toriumi provided an overview of partnerships and the excellent reviews received after recent training activities. She provided examples of topics covered, including leadership meeting practice, school communications, and tracking teacher and leader proficiencies. Members discussed strategies for tracking partner success, including (as suggested by J. Anderson) tracking rate of improvement over a period of time.

Coaching Model and Data Tracking
S. Martin presented a prototype coaching data dashboard via Tableau Online. On a related note, J. Anderson praised the leadership M. Corral, the new principal of Gilroy Prep School.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Data
This item was not formally discussed. The topic of SEL was incorporated into the discussion accompanying Item A.

The committee scheduled its next meeting for October 28, 2020, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

J. Dent highlighted potential key outcomes for organizational performance traditionally utilized at Navigator Schools. The committee discussed the impact of current conditions (distance learning, COVID-19) on performance measures, timelines, and expectations, as well as additional data points (a staff wellness measure, for example). C. Wright expressed interest in student group data. J. Dent reviewed the progress of NWEA MAP administration.
