General Update
Discussion of several recent events at Forte Prep, including Project Cicero, trip to Little Mermaid show, Battle Bots, cheerleading team, and Pi Day celebration.
Aladdin the Musical at Forte Prep this Friday evening.
Academic update for Forte Prep
- Trimester 2 data and deep dive last Monday at school
- Grade results trending higher than past years with the exception of 8th grade results.
- Preparing for state exams. Currently participating in "habit" competition.
Hiring
- Middle school recruitment process with faculty moving to high school
Enrollment
- Started a campaign - Parent Pride week - where families can suggest others to apply to school and earn points
- Brought on consultant to help support ongoing recruitment efforts with students post-lottery
High school update
- Retained fractional COO to assist with planning, and will transition to full time COO and ops team when hired.
- Recent walkthrough of facility
- 50% of current 80th graders are planning to attend HS (yes or maybe)
- HS approved for 140 but anticipating 100 - 120 for first year
- Recruitment events planned for HS enrollment
Fund development
- Bloomberg grant app submitted for Summer Boost
- Secured 100K from Tiger for launch support
- Walton grant pending
- New School Venture fund application to submitted by March 31
Voice Lesson Fund donation
Private raise for HS student who got accepted to Westover school through Teak foundation
Career Day coming up.
