  • Wayfinder: K-12 Future Ready Skills (Rob Haugen - CCC voted to approve 6/15/2026) 
  • Amplify: 6-8 ELA (Rob Haugen - CCC voted to approve 11/18/2025)
  • Night, by Elie Wiesel (Rachel Backstrom - CCC voted to approve 6/15/2026)
    • As we’ve gone through CommonLit 360,  Things Fall Apart was not a good fit for our students, so we felt that substituting the Night would allow us to still address the same skills, standards, and culminating task of literary analysis that addresses culture and history. 
  • EWU Survey of Native American Literature (Rachel Backstrom - CCC voted to approve 6/15/2026)
    • Used during 2nd semester of AP Language and Composition. 1st semester is ENGL 201, and we wanted to add another College in the High School course. It will count as a diversity college credit for students, and will make it so the kids will be able to earn 25 college credits in our high school's English department.
 
     
     
  D. Approval of New Courses at Medical Lake High School Vote
   
  • Agricultural Systems Designs & Manufacturing (Jeremy Vincent - CCC voted to approve 6/15/2026)
    • We are updating our shop offerings to match current industry standards. This course (frameworks) have been submitted and approved by OSPI. This course is aligned with CCSS Alg 1 standards, Ag Framework, and 21st Century Leadership standards

  • EWU English 170 - Introduction to Literature (Rachel Backstrom - CCC voted to approve 6/15/2026)
    • Replaces Bridge to College and awards college credit (satisfies an EWU BACR for humanities and arts)
 
  E. Approve Membership with ESD101 for Purchasing for Nutrition Services Vote
   

We are no longer using Puget Sound Joint Cooperative as we have in the past. We are using a joint co-op with the ESD using local companies, Charlie's Produce and Gold Star Foods.
