IV. Individual Actions Items
  A. Board Policy ~ 1630 Evaluation of the Superintendent; First Reading Vote

New language comes from RCW 28A.405.100 requiring the Superintendent's evaluation to look at the 8 minimum categories listed within the body of the policy.

  B. Board Policy 2108 ~ Learning Assistance Program; First and Second Reading Vote

We've made this a first and second reading because this is simply removing language put in place during the covid pandemic with notes to remove it after September 2025.

  C. Board Policy 4260 ~ Use of School Facilities; First and Second Reading Vote

We've also made this a first and second reading due to the minimal changes noted in the non-discrimination language in the third paragraph around ethnicity, gender identity, homelessness, immigration or citizenship status. No other changes have been made.

  D. Approve Naming the Tennis Courts After Leroy Lemaster Vote

If you recall, we made changes to our Board Procedure 6970P ~ Naming Facilities to add naming current facilities and specific areas within in them, such as athletic courts, building wings, etc. by dedicating them with formal plaques and ceremonies after making sure there are no naming conflicts and assuring it meets the general guidelines.

We decided to move forward with this as an action item on the May agenda.
