Call the Meeting to Order
S. Darroch called a meeting of the board of directors of The Exploris School to order on Thursday Jan 26, 2023 at 4:33 PM.

Approve Minutes
D. Deaton made a motion to approve the minutes from The Exploris School Board Regular Monthly Meeting on 12-15-22.
R. Boyce seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

A. Rodriguez made a motion to accept budget amendment.

Cori asked about the committee that had been meeting in the fall. An input mechanism for teachers and staff will be added to the current process to replace that access.

Directors Report
E. Grunden made a motion to accept presented hirings and resignations.
E. Buchan seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
D. Deaton made a motion to amend the agenda to add a vote for the start and end dates of school.
E. Buchan seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
D. Deaton made a motion to approve the start and end dates of the 2023-2024 school year.
E. Grunden seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Board Development: Recognition of National School Board Appreciation Month
C.
Board Business
Eric Grunden will become board Vice-Chair and Ed Buchan will become Board Secretary as of the February board meeting.
D. Deaton made a motion to amend the agenda to allow for a vote on the COVID communication policy.
E. Buchan seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
D. Deaton made a motion to amend the COVID communication policy to end individual emails about exposures.
R. Boyce seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

S. Darroch made a motion to enter closed session to discuss a real estate matter.
E. Buchan seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
E. Buchan made a motion to exit closed session.
