  A. Nomination of Slate of Trustees and Officers for 2016-17
  B. Finance Committee updates

The finance committee recommends approval.
  • Request for vote to approve 2015-16 financial audit. Finance Committee recommends the 2015-16 financial audit to the Board.  There were no material findings this year.
  • Finance Committee continues to discuss the importance of the enrollment expansion to the school's fiscal health in future years. Debt service and higher than anticipated utility costs for the new building could lead to cuts in personnel or programs next year if the expansion is not secured.
  • The Utilities for the new building are forecasted to come in 40-60K higher than estimated.  This will not have a major impact on the budget for this year due to savings from warranty coverage and a one-time efficiency grant of 60K from Eversource.  Finance Committee is investigating the details to determine a new projection and look into other cost saving opportunities.
  • Capital project is on track. The 26 Madeira property is demolished and clean-up of the property has begun. The construction project manager from Compass anticipates savings in multiple budget lines that will be returned to the school after the project is complete. Compass will meet with Alice Sheehan next month to review the budget and reallocate surpluses to contingency.
