I am originally from the Rochester, NY region. I attended college at the U.S. Naval Academy where I earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and lettered four years on the Navy lacrosse team. I was selected to be a team co-captain my senior year and I was a two-time All-America selection. Upon graduation I served in the U.S. Marine Corps for six years.
My business career includes work in manufacturing and business services, but the majority of my career was spent in higher education administration. I worked close to 18 years at Harvard Business School where my last position was as the Executive Director of HBS Doctoral Programs. I retired from HBS in 2017 and became the Dean of Undergraduate Studies at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Since 2019, I have focused on teaching at Harvard's Extension School and working with several non-profits in the New Bedford area.
I hold an MBA from Boston College and a Doctorate from Northeastern University.
I am married to Jayne Rebello Korn and we reside in Dartmouth, MA.
