  C. Summary of Academic Committee Meeting: 10/13/21
   
  • Current staffing profile and impact of COVID vaccine mandates for staff.  There are currently teacher and social worker vacancies.  Staff have accepted positions with the DOE, or are not following the vaccine mandate.  
  • DTL Hiring Committee in progress.
  • Bldg. A move complete
  • After-school COVID learning recovery program planning in progress.  Start projected -- end of October.
  • Busing- 18 of students still to be put on routes. School administration and Borough President's Office working with OPT to get these students on buses, ASAP.  In the meantime accommodations for remote learning have been made for these students.  
  • CSE has failed to make provision for our SETSS instruction.  Bridge staff has had to provide direct service to our kids causing disruption to classroom coverage.  CSE has also had significant gaps in providing OT/PT services. We currently have 44 students without these related services.  
  • October Dashboard presentation given with OG baseline data provided.  Next month, MAP/FP assessment results are to be presented.

    • Overall current staffing profile, with emphasis on COVID vaccine mandate and other impact on BP 
    • Status of DTL hiring process 
    • Status of after-school COVID learning loss - recovery program
    • Status of IEP mandated services/CSE meeting mandates. Do we kick it up a notch?
    • Busing issues--current status
    • Presentation of November Dashboard---highlighting Fountas and Pinnell and MAP October data
    • Plans and procedures for RTI, and other interventions based on data
    • Academic Strategies to be discussed on November 11, 2021
