Call the Meeting to Order

L. Kovalevich called a meeting of the board of directors of Global Academy of South Carolina to order on Tuesday Nov 14, 2023 at 4:30 PM.

II. Consent Agenda

Approve Minutes 10-12-23

L. Leahey made a motion to approve the minutes from K-8 GASC Board of Directors Meeting on 10-12-23.
V. Sulakov seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Paychex Fee Reduction Approval

V. Sulakov made a motion to approve the Paychex Fee Reduction Plan.
L. Leahey seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

2023-2024 Benefits Approval

M. Aulick made a motion to approve 2023-2024 benefits as presented.
L. Leahey seconded the motion.

GASC benefits for 2023-2024 year have been negotiated as follows:

 

By reallocating money saved from the reduction on Paychex admin fees and Workers Compensation costs, all full time employees will be auto-enrolled in company-sponsored short term disability coverage as of January 1, 2024. This coverage will pay 60% of weekly pay for up to 13 weeks if they have to miss work for any personal medical reason that lasts longer than 7 days, at no cost to the employee! This will also serve as a functional parental leave program for all the expecting mothers in the future. 
 

GASC will cover a flat $355 monthly for all medical plan levels and maintain $20/month for all dental plans. 

We will move from the 4 Florida Blue plans to 3 NEW Aetna plans that may be a few more dollars for the premium but are almost all cheaper when it comes to actual doctor's visits and medications.

The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Construction Update - Ilya Soroka as Authorized Signer for GASC Pay Applications

R. Lyubar made a motion to approve to add Ilya Soroka as authorized signer for GASC pay applications.
M. Aulick seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
