Call the Meeting to Order

Ben Sutton called a meeting of the Finance & Operations Committee of Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School to order on Monday Apr 17, 2023 at 12:00 PM.

Approve Minutes

Cory Tiede made a motion to approve the minutes from Finance and Operations Committee Meeting on 03-13-23.
Irina Brimmell seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. 990 Review & Approval

A.

Vote to approve 990

Cory Tiede made a motion to Approve the 2021 IRS Form 990.
Irina Brimmell seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

III. Finance & Operations

A.

Financial Performance Update

Chiquetta West presented the financial performance update for the period ending March 31, 2023. 

B.

FY 23/24 Budget

Chuck Meadows presented an overview of the budgeting process, including historical analysis to show how the school's funding has changed over the past 5 years. The FY 24 Budget reflects a return towards pre-pandemic spending practices as COVID related expenses are rolled back. 

Cory Tiede made a motion to Approve the FY 24 budget.
Oriol Mirosa seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

C.

Buildings & Grounds Update

The committee discussed the ongoing review of security updates for the campuses and any potential budgetary impacts that might occur. 

 

It was reported that the two armed security guards, hired as employees of the school, require an insurance rider that costs approximately $2,000 annually.
