Call the Meeting to Order
M. Gedemenli called a meeting of the board of trustees of Rochester Academy Charter School to order on Friday Jan 15, 2016 at 6:07 PM.

Approve Minutes
M. Guler made a motion to approve minutes from the Board Meeting on 12-18-15 Board Meeting on 12-18-15.
J. Santos seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
Y. Bilgic arrived.
II. Academic Excellence

Directors Report
Students in middle school are showing progress every time they take the STAR tests. The percentage of students who are in proficient levels is increasing. Board requested to see the comparison of the numbers of students who are performing in proficient levels and the factors that are behind this positive progress.

Finances Review
School's total liabilities is $1.924.717 and the ending balance is $1.352.116. Based on the calculations the loan needed for renovating the new building is around $850K.

Joann shared her experiences from the recent workshop that she attended. The workshop was about Oversight of Nonprofit Organizations.
There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM.
