				Dr. Middleton is a professor of archaeology at the Rochester Institute of Technology and a founding board member of the Rochester Academy Charter School. In addition to serving as board president he serves on the academic excellence and governance committees. 				Cheryl Sampson is returning to the board where she previously served as Treasurer. Mrs. Sampson most recently completed a BA in Anthropology with a minor in Music. She is currently working towards a MA in Public History from the College at Brockport. Her goal is to create an academic environment that inspires young people to reach their highest academic potential. Mrs. Sampson's current term expires in July 2025.

				Gerald Tillery is serving on the board for his first term. He has been employed by Verizon Wireless for over 19 years serving in various managerial roles in both retail and customer service. He holds a B.S. in Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He grew up in Philadelphia, Pa and moved to Rochester in 2003. He is also the current president of the Theta Upsilon Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. where his passion for service originated. He believes that knowledge is the foundation for success and every student should have access to a quality education.

				Saliha Al is serving her second term on the Board of Trustees. She holds an MS in Elementary Science and Math Education and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the Teaching and Curriculum Program at the University of Rochester. Her research focuses on transformative multicultural teacher education programs that prepare preservice teachers to teach in diverse contexts. Her term expires in July 2028.
