Based on the Maine Charter School Commission's Renewal Recommendations and Conditions:

GOAL #1:

Dedicated curriculum coordination across all buildings:

Dedicate a full time position to curriculum coordination that is cohesive PreK-12 that is focused on meeting the expectations and conditions of the Commission.

• Before November 1, 2026: Document responsibilities, organizational structure, and building coverage.
• November 1, 2026: Begin the transition.
• January 1, 2027: Complete the transition.

• February 1, 2027: Lead pre-walkthrough in preparation for Commission Site Visit

• May 1, 2027: Lead pre-walkthrough in preparation for Commission Site Visit

GOAL #2:

Executive Director succession and continuity:

Establish a plan for both an unexpected absence and a planned leadership transition, including interim authority, operational coverage, mission-aligned selection criteria, and knowledge transfer.

• June 30, 2027: Board adopts the plan.
• June 30, 2028, and annually thereafter: Review and update it.
• This is continuity planning, not a commitment to begin an Executive Director search.

GOAL #3:
Instructional leadership succession and model continuity:

Document CRCS’s instructional practices, Learning Coach responsibilities, backup assignments, and facilitator onboarding and mentoring so the model does not depend on particular individuals.

• June 30, 2027: Complete the documented continuity plan.
• June 30, 2028: Implement a shared cross-building professional development structure and an internal leadership pathway, with a proposed target of two instructional leaders per operating campus, subject to staffing feasibility.
• Annually thereafter: Review actual implementation and update the plan.
