B. Call the Meeting to Order

B. Reyes-Lua called a meeting of the Academic Excellence Committee of Vida Charter School to order on Thursday Sep 9, 2021 at 4:05 PM.

C. Approve August Minutes

J. Lewis made a motion to approve the minutes from Academic Excellence Committee Meeting on 08-12-21.

S. Fehringer seconded the motion.

The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

II. Academic Excellence

A. Update on Biliteracy Curriculum

Proposal to purchase additional units for biliteracy curriculum for K-5. Teachers have really appreciated the first units provided and would like to have access to the remaining units.

B. PSSA Data Review

Initial review of PSSA scores (Math, Science, and English language arts).

C. Annual Committee Goals

2021-2022 Academic Excellence Committee Goals
1. Provide an anonymous staff survey twice a year to track school climate with 90% completion rate. The ED will act on the results of the survey by celebrating successes and providing opportunities to address concerns.

2. All school discussion and analysis of student data will include desegregation of results in order to identify patterns and trends.
