Call the Meeting to Order
J. Arnold called a meeting of the Governance Committee of Vida Charter School to order on Tuesday May 21, 2019 at 4:32 PM.

Approve Minutes
J. Arnold made a motion to approve minutes from the Governance Committee Meeting on 04-16-19 Governance Committee Meeting on 04-16-19.
J. Brandauer seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
II. Governance
A.
Review and update potential candidate file
The committee discussed possible candidates for future committee and board members. R. Rahman and J. Brandauer will reach out to potential candidates.
B.
Discuss upcoming board election
The board election will take place on the day of the May board meeting. Ballots and candidate biographies are ready to go.
C.
Discuss 2019-20 board orientation
The committee discussed pertinent topics for the fall (August) board training based on last year's successful and productive orientation.
D.
Child abuse mandatory reporting policy
J. Brandauer made a motion to forward this policy forward to the full board for a vote in the May board meeting.
R. Rahman seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
E.
Safe2Say something program policy
J. Brandauer made a motion to forward the Saf2say something to the board.
J. Arnold seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
III. Closing Items

Adjourn Meeting
R. Rahman made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
J. Arnold seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 5:28 PM.
