Call the Meeting to Order

J. Arnold called a meeting of the Governance Committee of Vida Charter School to order on Monday Oct 24, 2016 at 4:39 PM.

Approve Minutes

D. Marritz made a motion to approve minutes from the Governance Committee Meeting on 09-26-16 Governance Committee Meeting on 09-26-16.
J. Arnold seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Governance

A.

Recruiting new board members

Reviewed two documents
1.) List of current board members
  • Add two columns: Differentiating the members from the non-members, Can they be reappointed/elected?
2.) Individuals Being Considered for Board Service
  1. Check with Rukh Jana Rahman
  2. Kaoru "Mia" MiyaZawa understands second language acquisitions
  3. Talk to Chris Z. regarding his interest in serving a committee
  4. Check with Martin Schroeder
  5. Martha is checking in with Amelia for additional names
  6. Jenny Dumont, a Vida parent, contact as potential board member.
Jeanne will work on determining how many Board seats will be open in the Spring.
