II. English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC)

ELPAC Progress and How to Support your Student / ELPAC Progreso y cómo apoyar a su estudiante
Mr. Filidor led a presentation specific to sharing up-to-date data information regarding progress with ELPAC testing. Mr. Filidor provided information specific to TEACH Tech Charter High School. Mr. Filidor shared both preparation of examinations, student preparation, and importantly, shared best practices for families that can further assist their readiness for testing which included both academic and wellness-based preparation. Mr. Filidor stressed the importance of the actual testing and preparation since it does require concentrated effort throughout the exam. / El Sr. Filidor dirigió una presentación específica para compartir información actualizada sobre el progreso en las pruebas ELPAC. El Sr. Filidor proporcionó información específica para TEACH Tech Charter High School. El Sr. Filidor compartió tanto la preparación de los exámenes, la preparación de los estudiantes y, lo que es importante, compartió las mejores prácticas para las familias que pueden ayudar aún más a su preparación para las pruebas, que incluyeron preparación académica y basada en el bienestar. Local Organization Presentation / Presentación de organizaciones locales
Ms. Vanesa Garcia, Resource/Outreach Worker at a local organization, The Children's Collective, Inc., was invited and shared details which included ongoing programming related to monthly parent workshops, financial literacy, seasonal tax preparation, food distribution events and ongoing food pantry. Ms. Garcia also shared mental health workshops that are ongoing for our local community. / La Sra. Vanesa García, trabajadora de recursos y extensión de una organización local, The Children's Collective, Inc., fue invitada y compartió detalles que incluyeron programas en curso relacionados con talleres mensuales para padres, educación financiera, preparación de impuestos de temporada, eventos de distribución de alimentos y despensa de alimentos en curso. La Sra. García también compartió talleres de salud mental que están en curso para nuestra comunidad local.
