TEACH Prep-TEACH Academy Fall Open House Kickoff Date

Mr. Ramirez reminded Mr. DeWeerd about the possibility of having a kickoff event for 8th grade families to visit TEACH Tech. He will continue to speak to Mr. Cordero regarding possible dates for visits. Mr. Ramirez emphasized the importance of hosting monthly open house events at both sites for interested TEACH Academy families. Mr. DeWeerd shared previous recruitment strategies in providing information to current and non-TEACH families as well.

TEACH Academy-TEACH Tech Joint Pep Rally
Mr. Ramirez reminded Mr. DeWeerd about the importance of continuing to speak with Mr. Cordero in regards to hosting joint events as a pep rally.

TEACH Data
Mr. Robles shared that there is a possibility to be able to aggregate data and will provide a further update soon. Mr. Robles recommended to create a survey that captures both interests and recommendations from families to suggest how we can both improve TEACH and provide recommended resources that we can possible attain. Mr. Ramirez will work on a survey draft to share soon.

TEACH Day
Mr. Ramirez reminded the committee regarding possibly working toward hosting a TEACH Day. Specifically, it would be both for recruitment purposes but also to invite our current students and families. Ms. Rhee shared information regarding previous TEACH Day events that were led by TEACH Academy staff in the past. Mr. Ramirez, as previously shared, will speak to Ms. Lawson in regards to the possibilities of hosting an event possibly in the spring.
Mr. Ramirez reminded both Ms. Rhee and Mr. DeWeerd about the possibility of having a kickoff event for 4th grade families to visit TEACH Academy. They will be providing possible dates for visits. Mr. Ramirez emphasized the importance of hosting monthly open house events at both sites for interested TEACH Prep families and TEACH Academy families. Potential monthly dates will be shared soon. Mr. Ramirez also shared the idea of inviting Mr. DeWeerd to an upcoming TEACH Prep Coffee with the Principal to simply introduce himself to families.
