Mission:

The Mission of Brevard Academy is to prepare its students to achieve academic excellence through the Core Knowledge Sequence. Through a partnership involving students, teachers, and parents the school strives to create citizens with strong moral character and active intellectual inquiry.

Vision:

Brevard Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy (BA-CFA) a K-8 public charter school develops and encourages motivated, intellectually curious students who are skilled in critical thinking, individual expression, and problem-solving. From their diverse backgrounds, students accept our challenge to pursue personal and academic excellence. Through this pursuit, they become confident members of their community who lead by serving others.

Mark Campanini called a meeting of the Long-Range Planning and Visioning Committee of Brevard Academy to order on Friday Jul 26, 2024 at 10:02 AM.

II. Strategic Planning Discussion

A.

Discussion

Board executes a strategic planning exercise, focusing on 5 priority areas. These areas include Academic Success, Learning Environments, Personnel, Resources and Fiscal Responsibility, and Engagment in our Community.

III. Strategic Planning--BOD Members Only

Board Annual Training

Board members signed annual Board of Directors commitment documents.

 

Board members reviewed the Board on Track training slideshow entitled: Charter Board Structure for Success.

An overview of the notes taken during the exercise will be shared with the board for review and additions of strategies by the October Board Meeting.
