Call the Meeting to Order

J. Reilly called a meeting of the board of directors of KIPP Capital Region Public Charter Schools to order on Wednesday Apr 27, 2022 at 7:33 AM.

Approval of Minutes

K. Kimbrough made a motion to approve the minutes from KIPP Albany Board Meeting on 03-02-22.
K. Hohman seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Accept the Resignation of LaSone D. Garland-Bryan

D. Applyrs made a motion to accept the resignation of LaSone D. Garland-Bryan.
M. Strianese seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

KIPP Capital Region Compensation Philosophy and Structure

Stephanie Valle, Jon Thatcher, and Managing Director of Talent & Organizational Culture Dani Brown discussed the new compensation philosophy and structure for KIPP Capital Region, derived from the work with Edgility Consulting.

B.

KIPP Capital Region Talent Strategy

Dani Brown discussed the talent strategy for the remainder of the 21-22 SY and the focus for SY 22-23.

C.

KIPP Albany Impact Update

Chief Impact Officer Neal Currie provided an update on KIPP Albany's impact work.

D.

KACCSM Vision Overview

Tommy Henley, new Principal of KIPP Albany Community Charter Middle School, provided an overview of their vision for the school.

 

E.

KIPP Albany Academic Update

Halim Genus reviewed the most recent ELA and math interim assessment data.

IV. Executive Session

A.

For the purposes of discussing personnel matters

M. Strianese made a motion to enter executive session for the purposes of discussing personnel matters.
D. Applyrs seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
M. Strianese made a motion to exit executive session.
