State of the Network
- KIPP Scholars are 3x more likely to earn bachelors degrees
- Flat to declining post-pandemic results
- One KIPP Progress:
- In school year 2024-25, we met 6 of the 7 anchor metric goals with data available
- 18 out of 26 regions grew at or above the network average
- SY24-25: 4th and 8th grade ELA * Math performance improving across the board
- KIPP Capital:
- Just under network average for ELA and Math performance
- 4th Grade ELA growth-- Second Highest KIPP region in the country
- 4th highest growth for 8th grade Math
- Decline in 8th grade ELA performance and 4th grade Math performance
- Network Results DIBELS:
- KIPP Students tend to start below national average, but meet national average by EOY
- Focus Area for Capital Region: Improve 2nd Grade DIBELS performance
- More Network Results:
- % of 9th graders with a 3.0+ GPA improved to 42% network wide
- 69% of students attending 90% or more days of school
- 50% in KIPP Capital Region
- In conclusion, KIPP achieved network-wide goals for 4th and 8th grade Math and ELA and 9th grade GPA. We fell short of 2nd grade DIBELS goal by 0.53ppt. Nearly all regions made progress on their 2024/5 metrics. KIPP regions met an average of 2/7 anchor metric goals and grew in 5/7 anchor metric goals

- DIBELS Takeaway:
- We did not meet our MOY goals for either at benchmark or well-below benchmark
- However, both our proficiency and growth have improved from last year across the region
- Raised the floor: lowest performing school had 45% of students on track to their goal, this year it is 54%
- At every grade level, we have at least one school whose growth is above the KIPP average
- Benchmark completion analysis-- 97% of students assessed across the region
- DIBELS Next Steps:
- K-2: Reinforcing accurate decoding strategies with consistent feedback during daily practice in decodable reading in CKLA and fluency routines in Fishtank
- 3-8: Students all read for at least 10 minutes during the Engage the Text portion of Fishtank (in addition to Lit Lab in 5-8)

- KCAP 9-12 Academic Goals:
- Regents: 90% of each cohort on track to graduate
- SAT: 40% of class of 2026 score at or above College Ready Benchmark; 28% of Class of 2027 at or above
- Regents Takeaway
- Before January assessments, our percent of Seniors on track was 22%. After appeals and WIN, we will be at 62%

KCAP Investment Policy Statement Proposal
Approve the proposed KIPP Capital Region Investment Policy Statement, on the recommendation of the Finance Committee. The proposal was led by Connor LeClair with support from First Tryon by Robert Ryan and Chris Wienk.

Approve the Hardship Accommodation Policy
Approve a hardship accommodation policy for key personnel.

The KCAP staff and Board of Trustees observed a moment of remembrance for Zynallah Henderson, a KACCSM sixth-grade student and longtime member of the KIPP community, who tragically passed away over the weekend.
