P. Welborn called a meeting of the board of trustees of Empower College Prep to order on Monday Apr 25, 2022 at 4:32 PM.

C. Approve March Minutes

C. Daniels made a motion to approve the minutes from March Board Meeting on 03-28-22.

III. Voting Items

A. Vote to Authorize Capital Expenditure for General Contractor, not to exceed $170K

K. Erickson made a motion to Whereas: The Empower College Prep Governing Board has authorized capital expenditures to purchase the land immediately south of the school to build a preschool, and Whereas: The Empower College Prep Governing Board has authorized capital expenditures to contract with an architect to design the preschool, and Whereas: The next step in constructing a preschool is contacting with a General Contractor to engage with the Architect in value engineering to finalize construction documents and reach a Guaranteed Maximum Price. Therefore, let it be resolved that the Empower College Prep Governing Board authorize capital expenditures, not to exceed $170,000, to contract with a general contractor in order to engage with the architect to value engineer and finalize construction documents and reach a Guaranteed Maximum Price.
