A.
Purpose and Process
Jade shared the Inquiry Cycle as a possible approach to our committee tasks
Chelsi--In business we identify an area of focus by finding gaps and analysing ways to fill them. What drives the excellence in academics?
Are we going to focus on the stepping stones of the FB MOU?
Linda suggests we look at the CAASPP scores in math--choose a weak strand. Take this to teachers and brainstorm ways to address the weaknesses. Bring teacher’s ideas back to the committee to see how we can support them.
Committee agreed to focus on CAASPP scores, looking for areas of improvement as a basis for discussion about improvement.
Roger arrived toward the end of the meeting, tasked with forwarding the CAASPP data to Jade for a first look, possible graphs or other visual representations to improve understanding of the numbers.
