The Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School offers its students intensive exposure to the performing arts within the context of an excellent college preparatory curriculum. The goal is to provide students with a supportive and challenging environment that is responsive to multiple learning styles, emphasizes learning through the arts, and integrates critical and creative thinking throughout the curriculum.

Mike Mizzoni, Chief Governance Officer of Board on Track, will provide a training intended to ensure the Board has a shared understanding of its roles and responsibilities, a clearer framework for effectively overseeing school leadership and the academic program, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and a practical plan for translating the findings of third-party investigations and the culture-and-climate assessment into board-level policies, oversight routines, and follow-up.

This mandatory training satisfies a condition by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education on our charter renewal.
