The updated WCPA English Language Learner (EL) Master Plan integrates valuable feedback from families to strengthen partnerships and enhance engagement. Key improvements include clearer communication of English Learner program goals, expanded opportunities for parents to participate in decision-making, and accessible resources to support families in navigating EL services.

WCPA Delano submits two annual financial health reports. The First Interim Report, reflecting October financials, confirms a "positive certification" and ensures WCPA can meet financial obligations through this year and the next two years.

The Academy's annual financial audit for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, ending June 30, 2024, was conducted by an independent audit firm. The audit reviewed financial statements, functional expenses, and cash flow for both the Delano and Lost Hills campuses. Results show no findings for the fiscal year.

Per the Academy’s Fiscal Policies, the Governing Board must appoint an Audit Committee by January 1 each year. Comprising at least two Board members, the committee reviews annual audit results and, if necessary, develops a corrective action plan to address any identified weaknesses.

In August 2024, the WCPA Board approved the addition of 8 modulars to the Delano campus to enhance the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP). WCPA now seeks approval for additional invoices totaling $144,600 for required work, including fire panel installation ($83,200), trench work ($55,000), and design and permitting by RLH Fire Protection Inc ($6,400).

Wonderful College Prep Academy (“WCPA”) seeks ratification of vendor invoices from Athletic Design for both the Delano and Lost Hills campuses for student uniforms. The total sum of invoices from Athletic Design totals $313,903.61. 

WCPA plans to install 15 dual EV charging stations—10 at the Delano campus and 5 at Lost Hills—to support employee vehicle charging and promote healthier air quality. WCPA seeks approval for Agreement #2024/25-05 with Southern California Edison’s Charge Ready Program, which will fully fund the installation of EV charging stations at the Delano campus.

The Superintendent Evaluation Committee, a standing advisory group of at least two Board members, develops and facilitates the Superintendent evaluation process annually. The Board appointed members to the 2024-2025 Committee during the October 24, 2024 meeting.

The Board is requested to approve the 2025-26 enrollment targets for both the Delano and Lost Hills campuses. The Delano campus will have a total of 1,840 new enrollment openings, with numbers varying by grade. The Lost Hills campus will have a total of 545 new enrollment openings, with numbers also varying by grade.
