Call the Meeting to Order

E. Robertson called a meeting of the Accountability Committee of Albany Leadership Charter School for Girls to order on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at 8:30 AM.

Approve Minutes

E. Robertson made a motion to approve the minutes from Monthly Accountability Committee Meeting on 03-21-23.
A. Harrison seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

II. Accountability

Accountability Report

Internal and External Events-we reviewed all of the events that occurred in the month of April to support celebrating the students and also enhancing enrollment.  Kudos to all who participated

 

Enrollment 2022-2023 enrollment was reviewed.   Projections for 2023-2024 are strong. 

 

Development and Fundraising-Due to Ms. Obreys departure, we are still working on a plan to continue this good work. Search is underway.

 

Attendance- attendance rates at both the middle school and high school were reviewed and the percentages are stronger than last year. Many incentives such as field trips have helped with attendance. 

 

College Acceptance and Enrollment percentages were reviewed.  Some students are opting to go to work.  The continued push for them to apply to college is happening We discussed some partnerships with local colleges to enhance Health Science careers and Education careers

 

Teacher Retention-Still having challenges with some positions, hiring is ongoing.    

 

Accountability measures.  POP #7 will end soon

 

Graduation is June 23 and 8th grade moving up is June 22nd
