B. King let the board know about the upcoming family activities happening at IGS. She also mentioned that the TIS-LIS: Back-2-School BBQ had a really nice turn out.

Steven Lake
S. Lake spoke with the board about his background and what expertise he feels he can bring to the FIGS board.

K. Lytle would like each board member to bring 2 references in by the end of September.

FIGS Social
M. Granson discussed that the FIGS September Social will be held at Saucy Brew works on September 11th, from 4:30-6:30pm.
D.
November Board Retreat
The board discussed future plans to reschedule the board retreat in November. They are thinking about November 15th as an option.
V. FIGS 2024-2025 school year calendar

Retreat Goal
The board discussed that they would like to recruit a few more FIGS members before the retreat date in November.

Full committee meetings
M. Granson discussed the plan for the school board and FIGS board meetings to overlap for 30 minutes so that both board are discussing marketing, development, and governance together.

Socials on Wendsdays
M. Granson brought to the boards attention that the fall social is going to be taking place on September 11th, and the spring social will be taking place on May 7th.

School Tours will be added next
M. Granson let the board know to lookout for calendar invites/emails regarding 2024-2025 school tour dates.

Next fall IGS turns 25
M. Granson let the FIGS board know that the 25th IGS anniversary celebration, is currently being planned.
VI. Marketing & Development Update Dashboard Overview
A.
FIGS Goals for next FY
M. Granson reviewed the marketing and developmental dashboards for both the school and FIGS board. Megan discussed the current status of the delayed spring appeal. She explained the appeal was delayed due to the merger between TIS and LIS. To make up for the missed mailing appeal last school year, two mailing appeals will be sent out this year. The rescheduled Spring Appeal from last school year, was sent out with Bloomerang emails and social banners in an effort to boost engagement. Megan also stated that InBloom is currently working on a one pager for both schools, and the FIGS board. A. Watson gave an update on the current fundraising efforts, and the current progress of IGS fundraising goals.
K. Emrich and S. O'Hara gave a tutorial to both the school board and FIGS board. The tutorial went over how to get on all the IGS social media pages, and how to help boost engagement through like, comment, and sharing. They stated that they plan to help remind the board to get on social media once a week, to engage with IGS content.

VII. Fundraising Update
A.
Annual Giving
M. Granson stated that the postponed Spring Appeal will be sent out the week of August 28th. She let the board know that the appeal was delayed due to the recommendation of Falls & Co; regarding the merger.

Grants
M. Granson gave an update on the current grants IGS is pursing along with upcoming opportunities.
C.
Major Gifts
A. Watson reviewed the top 20 donor list with the FIGS board, and asked if any members may have connections with them.
VIII. Next Steps
A.
Board recruiting
M. Granson and B. Nicolay discussed the plan to recruit future board members. They stated that FIGS is very open for recommendations for people to fill any of the outstanding skill vacancies.
B.
Major gift/grant (review and respond)
M . Granson discussed InBloom will be sending over more information regarding major gifts/grants, and that they may be reaching out for more information or approval to move forward.
B. King gave an update on how TIS is adapting post merger with LIS. She let the board know about the current struggles TIS is having with bussing. She mentioned that both students and staff are extremely excited to begin the new school year.
