Call the Meeting to Order

Margaret Barr called a meeting of the Academic Committee Committee of Eno River Academy to order on Tuesday Oct 21, 2025 at 9:05 AM.

2026-2027 Academic Calendar Draft Review

Lindsey- presenting calendar draft- 

Couple shifts: 

  • more half days for professional development want to align with growth of teachers one of values. Be intentional about growth and planning so get out early. 
  • Possibly kids not leaving on half days so add Superlative clubs on those half days.
  • Host a teacher conference with other charter schools for Sept. Teacher workday
  • Discussion around the half days: concerns for family logistics of half days and students for half a day.

Intervention and MTSS Updates

Deferral Forms- improved, decreased significantly- possibly due to decrease in cell phone use.

Hiring Recommendations

AIG- Hiring recommendation- Part-time AIG paying with title funds from last year

Policy Discussion: Minimum Educational Requirement for Instructional and Support Staff

We were not able to discuss this due to time. But going to email out a chart with potential possibilities and give feedback so we can vote on it next meeting
