Call the Meeting to Order
S. Jacobs called a meeting of the board of directors of Vacaville Christian Schools to order on Thursday Nov 30, 2017 at 6:00 PM.

Open Floor
The following message was communicated to all VCS families at 3:30 p.m. on November 30, 2017 via e-mail:
S. Jacobs invited Mr. Wayne Powell to open this time of discussion with prayer.
Following prayer, all present were invited to ask questions and provide comment regarding the decision to pursue a new Head of School.
Vacaville Christian School's Board of Directors is refocusing our strategies and goals and has chosen to seek new leadership by pursuing a new Head of School. This change in leadership does not impact the day-to-day operations or the nurturing, Christ-centered education which VCS has made a commitment to for over forty years.
An executive search will commence immediately. The Board will keep families apprised of the process through ongoing messaging and requests your prayers for the Lord's continued guidance. In addition, the Board will continue to participate in the Parent Partnership Committee meetings, be available to Administration and conduct open sessions during the first portion of the monthly Board meetings. The Board will field questions and comments regarding the recruitment process, while respecting the privacy of all applicants. As always, in accordance with the biblical principal found in Matthew 18, operational questions should be direct to teachers and principals. Should the need arise, the Board may be reached by emailing bod@go-vcs.com.
VCS families, faculty and staff are our greatest assets and voice. We ask that each of you share stories of the quality, Christ-centered education that VCS has provided in Solano County for so many years with your friends, neighbors, church families and employers.
The Board of Directors will be holding a Board meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose room. Please join us should you have further questions.
The Board thanks Mr. Harrell for his many years of service with Vacaville Christian Schools.
