Updates
The holiday season brings opportunities for reflection and gratitude. The Board wants to express its appreciation for the administrative, teaching and support staff of the Bryan Allen Stevenson School of Excellence for their work during the first several months of the opening year of the school. Additionally, the Board is grateful for the support and counsel of several other charter schools, including Edward Emmett of Positive Outcomes Charter School and Denise Stouffer and her team of Providence Creek Academy.
We are proud to be engaged with this exciting enterprise and look forward to a successful 2025.
III. Head of School Report
A.
Updates
The first annual Art Show hosted by the school is underway this evening, December 16 from 5:00-7:00PM. Shout out to Connie Jamele, our Art Teacher, the students, our artists, and everyone who helped to make the evening a success.
Interim Progress Reports went home today to most students.
We have added to the capabilities of Infinite Campus to insure it provides a wider range of functionality.
We are planning to apply to the Delaware Department of Education, Charter School Office for a minor modification to our charter to decrease the enrollment by 9% for next year which would shift our enrollment projections from an anticipated 350 students to 315 students as the 2025-2026 school year begins. The request reflects both our current enrollment and expansion to include an additional 100 sixth grade students, while advancing our current sixth, seventh and eighth grade students to the next grade level.
This will require a Board vote.
Happy holidays from everyone at BASSE.
