      • Discussion points included updates on student academic performance, the school's mission to close the racial wealth gap, and student certifications achieved in tech fields​.
    • Break (10:30 – 10:45 AM)
    • Setting Strategic Goals (10:45 AM – 12:00 PM)
      • Reviewed school vision and mission, identified key focus areas, and began defining success for the 2024-2025 school year. Strategic areas of focus included student achievement, instructional model development, and partnership expansion.
    • Lunch Break (12:00 – 12:30 PM)
    • FriendRaiser Planning (12:30 – 1:00 PM)
      • Discussion centered on upcoming fundraising strategies and community engagement activities.
    • Continued State of the School Presentation (1:30 – 2:45 PM)
      • Continued discussion on strategic goals and the school’s path forward. This included the vote on the updated 2024-2025 School Specific Goals​.
        • Academic Goal: By Spring 2025, Rooted School Vancouver will increase the percentage of students performing at or above the 50th percentile in the Reading MAP Growth assessment from 28% to at least 50%.
        • Organizational Goal: By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, Rooted School Vancouver will increase the percentage of students who report feeling "quite a bit" or "completely" connected to the school community to 60%.
    • Note: Due to time constraints, the board did not reach the "Aligning Resources and Responsibilities" or "Roadmap and Next Steps" portions of the agenda.
