As a 1st generation daughter of an immigrant mother, my life's work has been around social justice and educational equity professionally and personally. I believe that while there is a system designed for us to fail, it is a system we can persevere and overcome its hurdles. As an educator, leader, and advocate, my goal is to not only celebrate and create safe and inclusive spaces for our black and brown students but create an educational environment where they thrive in excellence and break the glass ceiling. Let's stand together to create change, innovate, and truly create an inclusive thriving environment for our black and brown students so they see limitless opportunities in their future.
My professional goal is to motivate, inspire, and serve. I hope to encourage others to want to make a difference and foster an asset-based mindset that celebrates diversity among our most marginalized students.
