MeVA was renewed for an additional 5-year contract term and will need to sign their contract no later than June 30th of this year. Exhibit B of the contract is really the only place where the governing board can negotiate any changes. There’s a line item in that Exhibit that reads – “School must have a plan to incorporate in person academic and social interaction among students and school staff.” They have requested the following change – “School must have a plan to incorporate in person and/or live virtual academic and social interaction among students and school staff.”

To the extent that the Commission receives complaints and concerns relating to school employees in writing, those concerns will be reviewed and addressed by the Commission and its staff outside of a public meeting.
