2024-2025 School Budget
Budget was created with an enrollment of 360 students in K-8. Current enrollment is 362. Twenty-two students in eighth grade will leave in spring 2024, and an estimated 50 will join in kindergarten in fall 2024.
New to the budget:
- Textbook and curriculum revenue is being added from the state. Estimated $150 per enrolled pupil will be given to offset the costs and not be passed to families
Expenses
- CSS has budgeted for potential cost increases
- Purchasing IREADY now would save money in the 2024-2025 budget
- Our group insurance cost has not increased in at least six years
- We have no indication of professional expenses (accounting, insurance, etc) increasing outside of the budgeted amount
We will know in September 2024 after our ADM if major changes would need to happen

Temporary Employee Policy
(See document for details)
Cold Spring School wants to continue to add as many opportunities as possible for students. This would allow Cold Spring School to look for a temporary employee to fill the position.
JR Renbarger asked how many this might be. Our current assistant Robotics coach would become a temp employee and then possibly 3 coaches.
F.
VEX World Robotics Championship 2024 - May 1-3
Michelle Kolar suggested a per diem for food costs for coaches and the administrator. JR Renbarger suggested we add that change and there were no objections.
We anticipate the costs being less due to the amount of teams that will make it to Worlds from state competition.
Nick Torres suggested looking into the difference between mileage and having CSS rent a vehicle
