Brian Anderson presented the monthly financial report
Statement of Financial Position in a favorable position
Budget vs Actual
- Total revenue was about 11% short on what we were anticipating. Our reimbursements have not caught up.
- For the year the net operating revenue is still in a good position
Enrollment is less than anticipated which will give us less in SBA
(Enrollment dropped around 30 students with the majority being middle school students that left the district.)
The State is in a backlog for approvals. We are waiting for IPS to be approved so we can submit for reimbursements.
III. Old Business
A.
Update on Rebuilding Stronger Draft Plan
Rebuilding Stronger will be voted on November 17, 2022 by the IPS School Board
Our "loss" of William Penn has been an overwhelming positive response from our community.
Cold Spring will continue to operate as a K-8 that is a preference for Zones 1 & 2 in the new plan. 80% of Cold Spring students live in these zones.
B. Tran asked if the K-8 model would be extended with our contract renewal before 2027. JR Renbarger stated that it is something we will continue to monitor.
B.Tran asked about facilities. In the plan is an allocation for four classroom modules which could be in place possibly for the 2024-2025 school year.

Committees are required per our arrangement with IPS.
Three committees are available for board members to join. Preferences should be given to C. Stipes before November 18, 2022.

- Budget forecasting
- Academic Experience
- Getting students involved with the community that supports CSS
- Development
- Finding opportunities for outside funding
B. Tran asked how the board and staff can work together. T. Robinson spoke about the Team Leads already in place and how they will work within the framework.

Equity Toolkit Coaching - Mind Trust MOU
C. Stipes presented the information.
The Mind Trust is paying for 80% of the training.

Principal's Report
Principal Robinson presented
- Teacher Ms. Smith did a #HatNoHate knitting project with 7th graders in their PBL class which was part of an anti-bullying campaign.
- November is Native American Heritage Month
- A focus on Native Americans in STEM is featured every Monday with announcements and a free field trip to the Indiana State Museum was given.
- Many activities were held in October and November including a RARE "Carnival", PIT, Family Knight Trunk or Treat, International Day of the Girl, 8th Grade Lunch & Learns, Athletics, Extracurriculars and Junior Achievement
- Upcoming Events include High Ability testing, Dyslexia screening, NWEA testing, family night for K-3, Hour of Code, December Family night and an Awards Ceremony in December
