Specific issues about a particular student should only be addressed to the school’s Director of Student Services, rather than the Board of Directors.

 

All public comments will be taken under advisement by the Board, but will not elicit a written or spoken response. The names of persons providing public comment and a brief summary of topics or input will be included in the meeting minutes published. A response will be provided to the stakeholder within seven (7) days.

We will be reviewing the attached list and making a recommendation to the Seaside School Board for approval.All items highlighted in white were approved by the BOD in the previous years. Items in orange need to be reviewed, and those in red were newly added by teachers this year and require approval.

Attached is what was presented to Triumph Grant education staff. 

 

These will be the certifications the school will be moving to potentially from a high school program perspective.

6. Raise overall academic proficiency scores:

  • English Language Arts (>90% proficiency & >80% college and career readiness)
  • Math ( >90% college and career readiness)
  • Science (>90% proficiency & >75% college and career readiness)

7. Raise Seaside Neighborhood School Acceleration Score to greater than 90 points.

  • Looking at Civics and Biology for 8th grade in coming years
  • Working to embed high school certifications into MS curriculum

8. Implement school wide durable life skills curriculum and experiential learning programs in all content areas for all grades.

  • College and Career Workshop (using DISC leadership tool) for seniors 10/18

9.. Develop The Seaside School mastery level assessment tools in all electives and durable life skills. 

10. Raise overall  ACT average score to >27. Raise overall SAT average score to >1250.

  • Set up juniors and seniors with access to IXL skilled practice

12. Provide intervention and tutoring programs school wide to ensure Over 75% of students meet Bright Futures eligibility,  >95% of students meet academic proficiency goals and reduce SCHS upperclassmen summer attrition <
