Instruction: easy literacy students are less further behind than last year, grades 3 and 4 are still feeling the results of the pandemic
Culture and wellness: Ms need more support to feel like they belong
Race and equity: attendance is still a concern for special education students, DEI is lowest at the ES
Talent and operations
Family engagement is well all around
Discussion: How do these data help you think about how we use time at Haynes?
Richard- The quality of time is most important. How could interrupted learning time be eliminated? We need to figure out how to engage students more. Student motivation and agency need to be worked on. Bring more people to high tech high with you.
Eric -What would be different this time around? The data was not that different at the time we had a different schedule. How would we approach this differently? We are running three schools the best we can. How might we supplement with a great summer program? Do you have the capacity and resources?
Josh -Pedagogy, making it look and feel different during intersection or summer school? The pedagogical part is important as well.
Rikki-We need to dream bigger.
Hilary- We do not have enough time to support these efforts? We are doing well financially, so we have the resources to do well. We just need to make some big decisions, we have to put some stakes in the ground.
Tom-There is something missing here. Students are not having fun at school.
