Staff COVID-19 Vaccination Incentive
D. Coats - The next item is one that I brought up. At this point, we would like to offer an incentive to those staff members that get the Covid-19 Vaccine. What we suggest offering is:
1 day of PTO (paid time off) to or get paid ($150) for it if they do not use it at the end of the year.
B. Valentine-Watts - I can support the $150
C. Frazier - I can also support the $150
J. McFarlan - I agree with the $150
J. Brown - The there would need to be documentation needed to verify.
M. Arslan - We would need to accommodate religious or medical waiver reasons.
M. Gonulalan - I agree with the waivers, but can we do it legally.
D. Coats - We did run it by the attorney.

IV. Academic Updates
A.
Academic Update
K. Smith -
Add info from the slides
D. Coats - Does this pertain to 100%?
K. Smith - Yes, 100% of those students were tested
D. Coats - Are we testing all we need?
K. Smithy - We tested everyone that was on a Zoom
M. Arslan - 75-80% of our students too the test
B. Valentine-Watts - For clarification, December, was that accumulative?
K. Smith - It was interim 1 and we did it in December, it was later than normal. North math we had improvement, West ELA and Math we had improvement.
D. Coats - Any reason 7th grade did worse?
M. Atlihan - We see some students received really low scores, they did not take the test seriously. They did not take enough time for a 2nd test.
K. Smith - Some were taken remotely.
T. Miller - Shouldn't that be across all grades and not just 7th?
M. Atlihan - Participation was low in that grade. I am not really sure. The same students receiving these low scores did not do well.
M. Arslan - They increased in ELA. West will look into this more.
D. Coats - Jr. High is a tough group to capture their attention.
K. Smith - It could also do with the questions, maybe they were one's that they had not done yet.
J. Sparks - It is not typical to go backwards, the test or the students are the reason.
K. Smith - Building level data team meetings (slide0 APA's present so it gives additional info for both.
K. Smith - SEL (Social Emotional Learning) We are in Phase 1, we are excited about this.
B. Valentine-Watts - Is this already in place?
K. Smith - We are in Phase 1, there are three phases. We are determining what resources we will need. We are in the early stages, we will roll it out next school year. Teachers may experiment with it, we want the adults in the building to be up to speed. So we can roll it out next year.

V. School Updates
A.
Principals Corner
O. Secen - We had the Regional Science Fair and the results were:
K-5 came back Hybrid on March 8th and 6-8 came back on March 29th. We had approximately 175 in person today.
D. Coats - You had about 175 today, will the total be about 250?
O. Secen - K-2 & 6 & 8, come 4 days a week, 3,4,5,& 7 come 2 days a week. There are about 20 kids per grade level that rotate so about 250 if they all show up.
O. Secen - We would like to propose that since we do not have a lot of volume with High School, that we bring in about 6 Seniors and 6 SPED kids, but no more than 50 to the high school.
M. Atlihan - We were approved to continue with eLearning, we sent out a survey and have had about 330 responses. 72% preferred eLearning 28% preferred to stay home. Of those about 80% of those students need busses. We have 28 rooms and staff and have invited kids into the building. On March 15th we had about 180/190 students and on March 29th we will start busses and anticipate about 300 students. It is going well so far. We have five lunch periods.
D. Coats - Onder and Murat do you propose to continue as you are?
O. Secen - Yes
M. Atlihan - Yes
D. Coats - We have a recommendation for the high school.
M. Gonulalan - Do we have plans to open fully?
O. Secen - the social distancing is recommended 3 - 6 feet. We are planning around 6 feet.
D. Coats - Do you see a time when we might invite more kids back before the end of the year?
O. Secen - Middle School just started, we didn't discuss changing to 3 feet or bring in more kids.
D. Coats - Dr. G., did that answer your question?
M. Gonulalan - My daughter went back a month ago and I see a difference.
M. Arslan - After lots of discussions, we came up with this, we will monitor and see going forward.
D. Coats - I have been part of those discussions, we are talking about opening it limited.
T. Miller - Why do we expect no more than 50 students?
O. Secen - Estimation on how many we can handle and the estimate of how many would really benefit.
J. Sparks - I will second that, it makes sense to me.

VI. Finance Committee
A.
Approval of February 2021 Financial Reports for North
H. Dulgeroglu - Gave the financial report:
IMSA North has received approximately 69% of its expected revenue. They have about 55% expenses paid. We had no items over $5,000.
They went over the vouchers and noticed that there were some overdraft charges and that was due to the school checking account having more expenses than usual. They are working with the bank to reverse those charges. Going forward we will monitor the balance weekly to make sure that it does not happen again.
W. Watson - I have been receiving notices for that account
C. Frazier - If the notification's went to the wrong place, can we get them reversed.
H. Dulheroglu - They are working on it, they should get back to us within 10 days.
