J. Garcia called a meeting of the board of directors of Mission Preparatory to order on Thursday Sep 10, 2026 at 4:41 PM.

II. Executive Director Updates

A.

Fall I - Attendance and Enrollment Follow- up

Mission Prep needs to address losses from attendance challenges from the previous school year attendance and expenditures on special education services that cost more than the school was funded for. MP will need to use reserves to cover the gap. The deficit is 784,000, which is about 7% over budget. We will use 483,000 of the reserves to bring the deficit down to 3% of the budget.

J. Garcia made a motion to Use reserves to cover the financial deficit.

MEETING AGENDA & RELATED MATERIALS

The Board President or designee may impose reasonable time limits and other rules on public comment to ensure the agenda is completed and to facilitate orderly conduct of the meeting.

Consistent with the Brown Act, informational updates or presentations may occur.
