Call the Meeting to Order

Teri Harrison called a meeting of the Executive Committee of Menlo Park Academy Governing Board to order on Monday Sep 16, 2019 at 5:35 PM.

II. Executive Committee

A.

New Aide Position

Voting on aide position will be withheld until job description available. 

B.

Approve New Hires

Suzanne McFarland made a motion to hire Deborah Sarinana for the position of teacher for an annual salary of up to $36,500 per year effective 9/18/19.
Susan Dornan seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
Suzanne McFarland made a motion to hire DeAsia Board for the position of 1:1 aide for a salary of $13.50 per hour.
Susan Dornan seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
Suzanne McFarland made a motion to adjust the salary of Jenaya Jones from $14.00 per hour to $14.50 per hour due to an error.
Susan Dornan seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
Suzanne McFarland made a motion to change David Berenson's title to Director of Counseling Services, a 12-month position, and increase his annual salary accordingly to $46,000 per year.
Susan Dornan seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Tara Schmitt provided a brief overview of positions filled and anticipated staffing needs

Suzanne McFarland made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Susan Dornan seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 6:20 PM.
