Call the Meeting to Order
Amanda Ross called a meeting of the Development Committee of Menlo Park Academy Governing Board to order on Wednesday Apr 13, 2016 at 6:00 PM.

A.
Update on Development Endeavors
The fundraisers were discussed. The committee felt that the Annual Appeal and Spring Extravaganza and benefit should be fundraising focus to finish out the year strong. A phone-a-thon and a classroom participation exercise will be a focus.
B.
Update on Capital Campaign
Kelly provided and update on the Capital Campaign plan.
C.
Needs for the remainder of the SY
The committee discussed the need to engage a development professional to assist through June 30, 2015. The area identified as low hanging fruit would be grants, to best prepare MPA to hit the ground running and submit competitive grant applications in the fall. Amanda will request that the Board allow the DCRC to contract to engage such a professional between now and June 30, based on budget.

Development Plan for SY2016-2017
Amanda Ross made a motion to Recommend the development plan for the 2016-17 SY to the full board for approval.
Melissa Vlasak seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
